Our newest Parcours athlete - Kimberley Morrison, multiple Ironman 70.3 champion
We're absolutely thrilled to announce that, professional triathlete and multiple Ironman 70.3 champion, Kimberley Morrison will now be riding on Parcours wheels. Over the past couple of seasons, Kimberley has established herself as arguably the leading rider on the professional 70.3 circuit and we can't wait to see where her racing will go from here.
Kimberley has had an incredible start to the season, winning Ironman 70.3 Texas and coming in second at Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires, as well as destroying the bike course record at Ironman 70.3 Dubai. We will be joining her for the European leg of the season, with the aim of building towards a strong showing at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Chattanooga later this year.
Kimberley will be predominantly riding and racing on a Parcours Chrono and Disc combination to maximise her dominant bike leg speed. You can follow Kimberley's results at www.kimberleymorrison.co.uk or on Twitter (@TriathlonKim) and Instagram (@kimmoreasons).
60 second intro:
When did you first get started in triathlon?
My school held “Ironwoman” competitions which I loved and won in my final year. I then revisited triathlon in 2012 having picked up Mum’s holiday read “A Life Without Limits” off the sunbed during a family holiday in Phuket, Thailand. Chrissie Wellington's travelling and success inspired me to go on my own adventure...
What's your favourite memory so far in the sport?
Winning Ironman 70.3 Buenos Aires in 2016. This race opened my first full professional year of racing and my first professional start line of an Ironman 70.3 race.
What’s the long-term goal for you & your racing?
The long term goal is to become a Champion, The Champion.
What would be the number one career highlight so far?
Consistency in races.. since turning professional in September 2015 I have raced onto 5 professional podiums and 2 professional wins.
