Note: all time savings are taken versus the baseline Shimano RS11 wheel.  Zipp 404 Firecrest savings were tested at 1min 2s (40km) / 4min 38s (180km)

The wheels we tested were:

  • Rim brake
    • Parcours Grimpeur 40mm tubeless-ready
    • Parcours Passista 56mm tubeless-ready
    • Parcours Chrono 77mm tubeless-ready
    • Parcours Disc tubeless-ready
    • Zipp 404 Firecrest 58mm clincher (chosen as the accepted “market benchmark” mid-depth aero wheel)
    • Shimano RS11 24mm clincher (chosen as the standard baseline wheel that your bike will ship with)
  • Disc brake
    • Parcours Grimpeur Disc 40mm tubeless-ready
    • Parcours Strade 49mm/54mm tubeless-ready
    • Parcours Chrono Disc 77mm tubeless-ready
    • Fulcrum Racing 5 26mm disc brake clincher (chosen as the standard baseline wheel that your bike will ship with)

All wheelsets were tested using the same Continental GP5000TL tyre (25mm), except the Parcours Strade which used a Continental GP5000TL tyre (28mm)
