WELCOME TO YOUR NEW PARCOURS WHEELSET

PRIOR TO FITTING / USING WHEELS, PLEASE READ THIS GUIDE CAREFULLY

Safety and fitting instructions

  1. Before fitting, confirm you are using the correctly sized wheels for your fork and bicycle. Confirm the wheels are properly installed and firmly secured to the bicycle, and are used with compatible components.
  2. Ensure that your axle, dropouts, and quick release mechanisms are clean and free of dirt or debris.
  3. Do not modify Parcours wheels in any way.
  4. Do not use Parcours wheels on any tandem or mountain bike.
  5. Do not use disc brake wheelsets with rim brakes or rim brake wheelsets with disc brakes.
  6. You must use the correct brake pads for your specific rims. Use of improper or contaminated brake pads may lead to excessively high braking temperatures which can cause premature rim wear and/or failure which can lead to serious injury.
  7. Inspect the braking surface for damage prior to riding; or
  8. Ensure that the brake rotor is firmly attached and the lock ring is torqued to manufacturer specifications prior to riding.
  9. Use only plastic tyre levers to avoid rim damage.
  10. When fitting tyres, especially tubeless, ensure that the tyre bead is positioned at the bottom of the central channel. This will allow you to install the bead to the opposite side of the rim. Once fitted, ensure the tyre is sitting evenly around the rim.
  11. If using a hookless rim (present on Alta, Alta 650B and FKT wheelsets), you must ensure your tyre is hookless-compatible. Please also refer to the applicable maximum tyre pressure for the tyre size chosen.
